New Babies & Furniture. It's The Year Of New.

Happy Tuesday to everyone! I know it's yet again been a while since I last wrote but I have been so sick! This baby has been kicking my butt. If I'm not feeling really sick, I'm bent over the toilet spewing my gutts to the toilet gods. It's worse this time around than with my first 4!

I'm sure some of you may be wondering, wow I wonder if it's twins to be that sick. The answer, is no. There is definately only ONE baby in there. I had an early ultrasound to check for any causes on the pains I've been having and it was confirmed that there's only 1 baby bean in there. I also found out that I'm a week behind in what my due date was. Instead of September 21st, it's now around the 28th/29th. I won't know for sure what it is till my next appt on the 25th of this month.

Other than that, all is well here. We decided to buy new furniture with our income tax this year. We're getting a 3 piece set - couch, chair, loveseat in chocolate brown microsuede fabric. We also are getting new end tables and a coffee table. A couple weeks ago hubby got his late Christmas gift - his 32' LCD LG Tv, to go with the LG Blu Ray player I got him for Christmas. And, since I'm pregnant, he bought me a laptop so I have something to use in the hospital. The delivering hospital is 45 mins away so it's not like he can just come and visit whenever, and I don't see many visitors anyways, so it tends to get really lonely. Sure I love looking at the baby, holding, snuggling, talking and of course, taking pics but after a while it's nice to be able to connect to the real world, know what I mean? Anyways, At least now I can check in on Facebook or my forums that I'm apart of.

Well, I think that's all for today, my daughter will be home from preschool soon and I'm thinking maybe I'll try and fold some of this laundry we have laying around. I fear we're going to get consumed by the clean socks and undies if I don't try and keep myself awake and get it folded.

Hope everyone is well, till next time.

There's A First For Everything - Even Awards!

First off, Happy Humpday AND Groundhog day everyone! Hope that your week is going well!

Next, I'd like to apologize to my friend Aimee, who alerted me to the fact that she's passed on an award for my blog, and here we are, Wednesday, and I am only NOW getting it put up. Oops, sorry Aimee! Please do go and check out her blog!

I've been given my very first blog award, woohoo! It's an award given to us smaller type blogs that aren't very well known yet and to get our word 'out there'. Thanks so much Aime! Here's what my award looks like:

With this award also come some "obligations" (which you need to follow too, if you accept the award ;)):
1.) I need to link to the person who gave me this award .
2.) I have to let the person who gave me this blog award that I accept it
3.) I have to post a Blog Love image in my blog post (see above)
4.) I have to pick 3-5 of my favourite blogs and pass the award to them; I also need to link to these blogs in my post.

There's one rule about choosing your favourite blogs, and that is:
Dear Bloggers the aim of this award is that we bring unknown good blogs to light.
so I ask that you do not pass this award to fellow bloggers who have more than 3000 followers.

I would like to pass this award on to the following people:

I unfortunately don't have many blogs right now that I follow *or have people following me* as I haven't spent much time on here, but as I find more, I will add them to the list.

Surprises Come In Small Packages & Last Forever.

Happy Tuesday to anyone reading! Here's hoping your week is going relatively well! It's only -10C here today which is a WONDERFUL change from the -30 and colder we've had all weekend. It's also nice and sunny and blue skys today, so glad to see it, I was getting tired of the drabby greyness.

So as you've guessed from the title of my blog, this is all about surprises. The other day I found out that I'm pregnant with my 5th child! Some have asked me how I feel about it, and honestly, I can't really answer it. My emotions and feelings are all over the place. I'm also worried about what people will say, but that's only because my youngest is 8 months old. I know it's my life, and I know people have children that close together all the time, but I don't like having to listen to mean things being said. I'm doing my best to not worry about it, and I know it's coming but it's just something that's in the back of my mind, you know? Anyways, I'm hoping that all my mixed feelings and emotions settle soon so that I can start to enjoy being pregnant. My last one I didn't enjoy very much mainly because I was in pain from about 4 months on and I was sooo miserable. There were other things that went on through the course of the pregnancy too but I'm not going to get into that.

I will keep everyone updated with the progress and will see about adding a ticker on here somewhere. Remember, this blogging thing is all new to me so it may be a while before I figure out things lol.

Well, just thought I'd share my news. Please if any of my readers are friends with me on Facebook, I ask that you NOT say anything there as friends and family aren't going to know for some time. We've decided that my forum friends and my one best friend are the only people who are going to know till we're ready to break the news. Thanks in advance.

Have a wonderful week.

Till next time.

Kids Say The Darnest Things!

Happy Thursday Everyone! Here's hoping that wherever you are you're keeping warm! It's been really cold here last couple days, but hey, cold means no snow, so I guess it's all good!

Anyways has anyone ever seen the show Kids Say The Darnest Things? Bill Cosby used to host it, it was a show on years and years ago, I used to like watching it, some of the stuff kids came out with really was funny! Anyways, today my 3 year old daughter came out with something hilarious while we were out. As I was driving along, drinking my coffee, out of the blue a tiny voice in the back says: "Mom, why do you have a big nose?" I almost spit my coffee out and took a sec to comprehend what was just asked. I said What?? and again got "Mom, why do you have a big nose?" Well, first off, I have a normal looking nose that's not insanely huge or anything, so I couldn't figure out WHY she would ask such a thing! So I asked her what she meant and the reply was: Well, I have a baby nose, and Hailey *my 8 month old* has a baby nose, and you have a big one" LMAO! Priceless, absolutely priceless! I thought it was so cute though but what a thing to come out with just out of the blue! Gotta love kids and the things they manage to come out with.

Well that's all for today, just thought I'd share something to give you all a chuckle. One more day and then it's the weekend! Time sure is flying, isn't it?

Till next time.

Lifes Greatest Things.

Hey everyone, hope this week is good to you! I know it's been quite a few days since I've last written, but been busy!

Anyways, todays blog is brought to you by one of lifes greatest things - kids. Today my 3 year old daughter who attends a preschool program every day, for 2 1/2 hours in the morning, came home with a big pile of artwork she's done. In it was one page with handprints, another with footprints, and many more with dinosauras and lots and lots of sparkles. Now, my daughter is a proud little girl when it comes to her art, she's always very quick to show her dad when he comes home from work as well as her brothers.

Today we were looking at what she had made before she went up for her afternoon nap. The sheer excitement that came from her as we unrolled and looked at every piece was great. She explained to me that a foam circle she glued to one page with a dinosaur was a doughnut for him to eat, and she had painted it purple cause 'that's his favourite'. When we were all done looking, she asked me this question that brought tears to my eyes: Do you love it mom? I made it just for you and dad!!"

My heart melted and it was all I could do from letting the tears flow. Of course I answered that I did love it, and thank you very much, at which point I got an extremely proud "You're welcome mommy!!".

Kids. No matter what they do to make you angry you always gotta be prepared for what they're going to come out with next, because it's things like that, that make you forget all about any wrong doings they've done for the day.

Well, that's all for now.

Till next time.

Kristina.

Happy Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday everyone! I was going to write yesterday but decided it would be best if I cleaned up and whatnot rather than sit here. Also, yesterday my little girl got her needle, so up till it was time for her to go have a nap for the afternoon, she was pretty fussy off and on, which is different for her. I also think she's finally starting to get some teeth, but then, I think I thought the same thing a month or so ago and here she is, almost 8 month old and still toothless! I'm fine with that though, I want her to stay a 'baby' for as long as she can, I think once they get teeth they're no longer a 'baby', they really seem to have a grown up look to them.

Anyways, nothing really going on around here today. I have my weekly appointment with my son this afternoon, and as usual I'm NOT looking forward to it. The woman we see is alright, but seriously after the last couple weeks the woman is getting on my nerves! She has this way about her that makes you 'almost' feel like you need to do exactly what she says because, when you shoot down one of her ideas she makes a huge deal out of it! Ugh.

I have also been having troubles sleeping again. I don't know what it is, but from time to time I have a horrible nights sleep that carries on for some time, then settles and I sleep alright. Sunday night I slept GREAT. So great, that I didn't hear the alarm at 4:30am for hubby, I didn't hear him get up, leave, nothing. I didn't wake till 6:30am when the alarm for me and the kids went off. I suppose I woulda heard the 4:30 one if it was set to buzzer and not the radio. I don't know what causes it, but it's sooo annoying. Hopefully this phase settles soon!

Well I'm going to end this and go tinker around somemore on here. Seems whenever I do want to tinker around I get interrupted. Oh... wait, maybe I won't. The baby is really getting upset again. Maybe I'll go feed her and get her down for her afternoon nap while we wait for her sister to come home from pre-school.

Till next time.

Enjoy The Weekend!

So, here we are, another weekend is upon us. What are you doing for the weekend? Cleaning, relaxing, shopping, maybe visit some friends/family? Tomorrow a friend is coming over to deliver some late xmas gifts to the kids, he hasn't been able to visit due to work etc, so that'll be fun for them. We're also going to play some card games. Anyone out there play the Monopoly Card game? What about the Yahtzee one? If not, you should go buy them and give them a try, they're interesting, frustrating and fun all at once!

Sunday I'm making cabbage rolls, yummmmmmy! I can hardly wait, maybe that's because I'm hungry and I'm awaiting hubby to get back with food, but regardless, cabbage rolls are so good, and last time I made them it was mouth watering. The only complaint I got was there wasn't enough lol! Of course, cabbage rolls can be a bit on the 'smelly' side if you know what I mean!

Well, I just wanted to post something quick since I now made this known to a wonderful forum I belong to. If any Canadian 'strangers' stumble upon this, you should go and check out www.canadianfreestuff.com. They're a wonderful site that posts all the latest contests, coupons, freebies and more. The staff and members are a great bunch of people. I've only been a member since September 2010, and already it seems like I 'know' some of the members very well, kinda like a new online family. It's great. Oh and you don't have to talk only about coupons/freebies etc, you can post about anything you like... the latest vent, how much you hate *or love!* your inlaws etc. So please come on over and check us out, you won't be disappointed!

Till next time.
